Private label scrub branding checklist for first orders

Neck labels, care labels, hang tags, embroidery and cartons — what buyers should confirm before approving a pre-production sample.
Private label medical scrubs succeed when branding is locked before bulk cutting — not after garments are sewn. Use this checklist on every first order with an OEM factory.
Neck / brand label: confirm woven vs printed, fold type, care-symbol language (EN/ISO vs US), and exact placement. Supply vector artwork and a physical label reference if you have one.
Size and care labels: agree fibre content wording, wash temperature icons and country-of-origin text. Mixed markets (EU + US) often need dual-language care copy — decide this before digitising.
Hang tags and polybags: barcode format, SKU structure, folding method and whether bags are retail-ready. Ratio packing by size should match your warehouse scan process.
Embroidery or print: send logo files, thread Pantones, size in millimetres, and placement diagrams for left chest, sleeve or back. Approve a sew-out or strike-off on the actual fabric, not only on paper.
Export cartons: printed marks, your brand name, order number and destination labels. Branded cartons reduce mis-ships when multiple programmes leave the same factory in one week.
Only release bulk after a signed pre-production sample that includes labels, trims and decoration. That sample becomes the quality reference for inspection.
